Contour Line Pendents From Recycled Copper Wire

Posted in Fashion on November 17, 2011 by lindsayjanetroberts

I had been making some of these pieces for a while now and I have finally photographed them. The pearl ponies and turquoise lady have been around for a while, but the cat and the hearts are new additions.

Vasculms/Purses, Sheet Copper and Recycled Copper Wire

Posted in Fashion on April 21, 2011 by lindsayjanetroberts

I used to make these items out of recycled metal and tin. Back then I used a soldering iron to connect the pieces. I am now making them out of copper and recycled copper wire. Now I have to use a torch to connect the pieces. These come in two sizes, a full size piece and a clutch.

The vasculm is a very old design. The smaller sized ones were originally made to collect plant samples in the field and to bring them home safely to identify them. The larger ones were called Tinker Boxes for carrying the tools of the Tinsmith.

Now, they are a great fashion statement with a historic story to tell.

New Choker Designs

Posted in Fashion on December 2, 2010 by lindsayjanetroberts

While in Tubac demonstrating over Thanksgiving weekend, I finished off a few new designs for chokers. Since I have short hair I did not realize right away how ones hair can get caught in clasps that are behind the neck. These were made with the clasp being in the front as part of the design. I think my long haired customers will appreciate these.
